Subject: PvP Warrior Gear Guide - Read Before Posting!
It seems that this topic has been beaten to death over and over, and since ciel's guide is way outdated, I'll just keep this thing bumped up so new warriors don't have to flood the forum with "what should I use for gloves if I'm pvp warrior blah blah" topics.

This is the new version of it, and yes, as the time goes on it will be updated as new gears are introduced. I had many demands to put PvP set pieces into guide, and I'm doing it now! :(

I. Helm
Section 1: Top end choices

1. Lionheart Helm (http://www.thotbott.com/?i=26925)

Overall: Craftable through blacksmithing, considered as ultimate PvP helm. Genuine look that goes with most of armors out there and there is at least 1 crafter on each side (horde/alliance) on every server. Easy to obtain.

Pros: Highest crit % chance available on helm piece, 2%, which is equivalent to +40 agi. along with +2% chance to hit which makes it an amazing helm. High armor, and along with 18 strength on the side which converts into +36 attack power.

Cons: LACK OF STAM is the biggest flaw of this item. people who prefer to have high stam tend to avoid this helm and go with either CoD or wrath helm. Almost all warriors who get it tend to put +100hp libram enchant on it to make up for its loss.

2. Crown of Destruction http://www.thottbot.com/?i=37908

Overall: When people were doing MC for the first time, people tend to strict this only to hunters/shamans since it was mail. mainly because the Might helm back in patch 1.5 was awesome for PvP also, and they thought warrior wearing mail= silly. But now, this has become every warrior's dream helm. With awesome stam/attack power/crit chance, it has ALL the stats a pvp warrior can ask for, and on top of that, it is so far the coolest looking helm in game :)

Pros: It has everything; 42 attack power, 23 stamina, 2% crit, and awesome look. If your guild is PRK (Pro Rag Killers), then if you just be patient enough this will drop for you, and eventually you will get it. along on the side with +10 FR, it is THE helm to get over anything, in my opinion.

Cons: Lacks ARMOR! although it has all the stats you need, (plus 9int and spi that helps ALOT during your solo pve grinding/weapon skill lvling) the only problem with this helm is that it is MAIL, and it will never have as high AC as plate. compared to Lionheart's 565 AC, CoD has 392. I tend to look over this matter, since the mere 150ish armor does not mean much in PvP for me, but some might want to have high armor for fighting other melee classes.

3. Helm of Wrath http://www.thottbot.com/?i=27583

Overall: Dropped from onyxia, back in 1.4 it used to be an uber godly helm that had like 20str/20agi/40stam or something like that. After the tier 1 and 2 set nerfs, this helm became a pure tankage helm. Too easy to get, but a good helm.

Pros: Has the highest +stam bonus on helm slot. 40 stam=converts into 400 hp, and with 100hp libram enchant (or fancy ZG enchant,) this helm can give 500hp bonus from just 1 piece of equipment. good str bonus of 17 (=34 atk power) and +def skill/armor, this helm boosts your survivability in PvP to the max.

Cons: No crit. not a single point of agi on it, and that means compared to LH helm or CoD, you lose 40 points of agi right there. basically in a situation where you compare these 3 helms, the choice comes down to either to go with 40stam or 40 agi. Whichever you prefer, go for it. If you have high crit from other gears and lack stam, this helm is not a bad choice to go with.
(P.S: this helm also makes you look like a can opener in next patch)

4. Helm of Endless Rage http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40782

Overall: Dropped from Vaelstrasz, the 2nd boss in BWL. Total Noobish looking (although it HAS to be the placeholder), but with unbelievable stats that every warrior can dream of having.

Pros: everything you need here, str/agi/stam/armor, period. Not many people have it since the drop rate is so low, but it is something that all warriors would want to have if they can get dibs on it. all the stat points add up to 81 points in total. If you have AC problem with CoD, or want more stam from LH, or crit from Wrath, this thing solves the problem nicely.

Cons: Many people consider this as "incompetent" helm. Sure, it has EVERYTHING, but it does not have BEST of everything. It has less crit% compared to CoD or LH helm, and lower stam and armor compared to Wrath. It is made for all-around balance, and it seems that all warriors who get them usually puts on +8str libram enchant on it, since strength is the only stat that this helm is best at. Still good, but for stat-wise, it isn't best (in any category).

5. Field Marshal's Plate Helm/Warlord's Plate Headpiece http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40157

Overall: After reaching Rank 13(Field Marshal for Alliance, Warlord for Horde), you can buy this gorgeous helm from armor vendor in Champion's Hall/Hall of Legends for mere 5 gold or so.

Pros: When such item is PvP reward, and is EPIC reward, you know it's good. 19str/15agi, and whooping 35 stamina. Awesome helm, and when you count in the set bonus (since you will have all 6 pieces if you get this), this helm becomes uber godly.

Cons: Much like helm of endless rage, it does not excel in any of the sections. Many rank 13+ warriors on servers usually use Crown of Destruction instead of this helm for the looks + crits. This is definately better than Wrath helm for pvp in all aspect. Can't really compare CoD/Endless rage/this helm and say which is best of them all. Go with what your heart tells you to, if you ever get it that is.

6. Lieutenant Commander's Plate Helm/Champion's Plate Headguard http://www.thottbot.com/?i=38063

Overall: Honor Rank 10 PvP reward. Purchasable from NPC vendor in Champion's Hall/Hall of Legends for 4g. wow.

Pros: Close-to-epic quality blue item. Stam bonus on this piece is really good, and with +100hp libram enchant, it can have same par of stamina as wrath helm. Decent stats, best helm you can get for 4g (haha). Since this will be the last piece for the blue PvP set, it is quite meaningless to wear this unless you wear the full set, since the set bonus is really good.

Cons: It's still blue, and not as good as epic ones listed above. Also the thing is, if you actually PvP and get to rank 10, you WILL have better helm than this (e.g. lionheart helm) by the time you reach the rank. Unless you farmed AB 24/7 and had green gears back then, you will never wear this helm. (P.S - Horde one looks O.K, but Alliance one has wierd "blue" glow UNDERNEATH the helm that makes others think you have light bulb lit under your helm.)

Section 2: If above aren't possible...

1. Helm of Valor http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=24421

Overall: Darkmaster Gandling drops all of blue set head pieces. Valor is one of them. Unique look, but as time goes on and new gears are introduced, they start to look noobish.

Pros: Balanced stat, good look (for now), and it's part of the set. easily obtainable if you run scholo about 5-10 times.

Cons: It's valor.

2. Fury Visor http://www.thottbot.com/index.cgi?i=52018

Overall: A.K.A mini-Lionheart helm. Half the crit/hit of its big brother. Obtained through the new 1.8 class-specific quest, easily done in a temple group at lvl 50~.

Pros: Decent helm. Free of cost, and although it is lvl 50 item, it can be used until lvl 60.

Cons: 1/2 of Lionheart.

3. Crown of Tyranny http://www.thottbot.com/?i=18613

Overall: A mail helm, drop off of Final boss in Strat West side(or depending on server, Strat SM or Strat live. etc.), Balnazzar. quite a common drop, but it has great stat for melee non-mana users.

Pros: A very good helm once you overlook the fact that it is not a plate. Basically the helm has 20str/20stam/20agi. -10 on spirit can be neglected since spirit=useless for warriors in PvP. Not many people want it that bad, so if you can find a good group, then you can get it easily without competition.

Cons: Lack of armor again, since it is mail. Other warriors will laugh at you if you wear this for some reason. In my opinion, quite the best pvp helm you can get other than those epics above.

4. Backwood Helm http://www.thottbot.com/?i=35700

Overall: Obtained from the quest inside of DM west side. Again, mail helmet, but the 21agi/1% crit makes this a very decent helm for poor warriors who can't afford LH helm.

Pros: It has stam, and it has 2% crit (and 1 extra agi). and Int/spirit to help you lvl your weapon skill lvling and solo grinding at lvl 60.

Cons: Lacks strength and armor. This helm was mainly designed for hunters, a class that does not need strength. Avoid it if you lack heavily on Attack power.

5. Eye of Rend http://www.thottbot.com/?i=16552

Overall: Drop off of rend in UBRS. For those people who love to get high crit but just can't afford Lionheart helm or can't find a strat SM/DM group to go get your mail helm, then get this. Common drop, and unless the raid leader is high on crack, he will let only rogues roll on this. However, many rogues aim to get dal'rend set pieces and this isn't actually their priority (lacks agi, and most of them wants shadowcraft chest). Roll on it and call need on it, if you're missing a decent helm piece.

Pros: It's actually very good......helm(?). Decent amount of Stam and high str to give you good attack power. It's an eyepatch, so it covers one of your eyes (ok, bad explanation). looks quite cool, especially on orcs it gives real badass look (if you can notice it...). Stat-wise, very identical to lionheart helm, except that it is missing 2% hit and few str in sacrifice for stam.

Cons: Yes, it is leather. Thus, it is like wearing nothing on your head for armor. 142 AC armor compared to Helm of Wrath's 696 AC is neglectable. Wear it at your own will, but don't complain when that rogue ambushes you for 1300.

Not mentioned Above: helm of might (same deal as wrath, but with less stat and better looks)

Next up, the necklaces...
