Subject: So what new bugs do we get tomorrow?
So, what new bugs do we have to look forward to tomorrow?

We already know about dark pact/imp, and Banish/Demonic Sacrifice.

The notes also list:

Dot breaks fear
"Inconsistent buff types for DS"
ShadowForm (priest) cancels our Shadow Ward
Imps don't BloodPact while phase shifted.

Any of these make it through? Or more appropriately, did Blizzard find a way to avoid fixing these?

Edit: The list we have now stands at:

Dark Pact doesn't work while Imp is phase/shifted.

When using MD, a banished pet will not give the buff back after returning to the mortal plane.

VW and Imp DS buffs can be dispelled, while Felhunter and Succubus cannot, due to "inconsistent buff types"

DoT's breaking fear was an unintended bug. We're currently discussing how we can fix this.

Q u o t e:
wow I always thought DoT's would break fear anyway, since this bug has been around since i started my lock, i just figured it was part of the game, where fear says damage might cause it to break....I just kind of played around it up until now.
Considering all the recent player reports coming in about DoT's suddenly breaking fear I labeled it a bug and went to research it. After talking with the designers however, we found that nothing in the resist formulas has changed - fear has always had a chance to be broken by DoT's. As stated in the tooltip, "damage caused may interrupt the effect". There is no bug or "nerf" here, sorry for the confusion.

As for exactly how this resist system works and what you should expect to see I'll explain in more detail. When fearing a MOB that has multiple DoT's on it you will not often see the fear break early. We wanted the fear + DoT combo to be a viable option for PVE soloing warlocks. Also note that direct damage spells have a higher chance to break fear than DoT's. Against players, fear is around 3 times as likely to break from damage sources. The reason being we only wish for fear to be used like other crowd control spells/skills in PVP -- remember that all other crowd control spells/skills in the game have a chance to break or break early on damage. Also don't forget that fear has diminishing returns. When a player has been seduced (100% duration) and feared (50% duration), the next fear (25% duration) will only last about 4 secs. Depending on when the DoT ticks it may seem the DoT has broken the fear when it was actually diminishing returns.
