Compiled Bite Sized List of Shaman Problems
1. Tranquil Air.
Problem - Mimicking Paladin ability, unnecessary duplication, wastes alternative superior totem slots.
2. Parry.
Problem - Costs talent points, no innate defendable skill with 2 handers. Shamans are front line fighters with no viable way to block physical attacks.
3. Anticipation.
Problem - Costs talent point, +5 defense is negligible, no supporting gear. Shamans are front line fighters with already poor damage mitigation.
4. 2 Handers.
Problem - Costs talents points to gain, forcing Shaman to spec to obtain certain items (no other class has this TMK) Unfair to restrict items base on talents.
5. Mana tide.
Problem - Poor 31 talent, too many unnecessary prerequisites. Poor support mechanism, to many requirements and risk for not enough gain. Does not scale with greater mana pools.
6. Totems (General).
Problem - High mana cost, low duration, sub par utility in multiple encounters, removal on death, limited range, stationary, easily destroyed.
7. Weapon Buffs.
Problem - Weapon buffs not on equal footing, poor utility in multiple scenarios.
8. Stoneskin.
Problem - Near useless in end game raiding. -(less then 50) damage will not be noticed.
9. Healing way.
Problem - Does not affect all Heal spells available to the Shaman.
10. Totem Duration.
Problem - No way to accuratley track totem durations without additional interface.
11. Stormstrike.
Problem - Poor utility in raid setting, high mana cost.
12. Mana Generation.
Problem - Poor mana recovery, Shaman's must spend mana to gain mana back.
I will add more as I see them. Again, this is identifying problems, not providing suggestions, per Blizzards request.[ post edited by Revelations ]
