Subject: Feral Attack Range...
This has been posted several times, but has yet to be acknowledged.

If your in a feral form you have to literally be within 1-2 yards to be able to attack.

In cat form this makes getting off an opener almost impossible because we will be with in detection range long before we can attack.

At least acknowledge this problem, and please fix it...

Subject: Re: Feral Attack Range...
We have run a large variety of tests regarding this issue. Our findings show that the maximum melee distance and the maximum melee skill distance is as stated in the tooltip. In addition, the feral form hitbox is no different than the hitbox of players in humanoid form. A simple method of testing this would be to have a player attack you from the front at maximum melee distance. From their maximum distance, you will be able to retaliate. If they attack you from maximum distance behind, rotate your character. You will continue to get hit and will still be able to retaliate.

What you may be experiencing appears to be lag related. Depending on several factors like system lag, latency, and server lag, your exact position on your client may not be the exact position on the server.

You can see how this works by toggling to your walk speed, prowling towards a target from behind, and spamming the Pounce ability. The pounce will occur at what appears to be the maximum distance. The same experiment, while toggled to run speed, will appear that you must be closer to the target in order to Pounce. Feline Swiftness and other run speed enhancements will exaggerate this effect even more. The faster you move to a target, the less time there is to synchronize your position between the client and the server. Client lag, latency, and server lag all can affect how fast this synchronization can occur.
