Hi everyone.
We've gotten a lot of useful information about the current freezing issues on the PTR. We're making progress on the bug and would like to ask for your help with some additional information.
After a freeze of any considerable time (aprox 10 seconds) the client should create a freezelog in your errors folder within the wowtest folder.
If you have experienced the freeze issue and have the freezelog file please let us know here, if the contents of the file are not too long, please post the contents here as well.

Thanks to everyone who has replied, the lack of a error folder and freeze log is also significant to us. We are continuing to investigate this issue. I'll update as soon as I have any additional information.
If anyone does find a freezelog file please let us know in this thread.

Thanks for the info Lilmissfufu, just out of curiosity, could someone who is experiencing the issue try disabling all the sound in game and see if that has any effect?

More information requests from the QA team...
We are able to reproduce short freezes 2-3 seconds max durring battlegrounds here internally, but we have yet to see the long 10+ second freezes that people are describing.
When you encounter these long freezes, is it just a severe drop in frame rate? Can you still move the mouse or alt-tab to a different application? or does it lock up your entire machine durring this time?

Yes more requests.
Those of you testing with no sound, instead of turning off the sound in game if you could do this instead.
Right click on your World Of Warcraft shortcut icon.
Select Properties.
In the Target Box, at the end add -nosound
Start the game via the shortcut.
If anyone can try this and let us know the results that would be very helpful.

Great guys, thanks for the reports, and the help in investigating this.
We're still working on it, so please continue to post any information you have that might help us. We are especially interested in the results of -nosound tests and what type of sound card you are experiencing this with.

Hi everyone, I'm here most of the weekend working on this issue (and some others) so please keep reporting your experiences.
I'm starting to wonder if there are actually two seperate issues here, one causing short freezes and the other causing long ones.

More feedback and requests from QA...
One of our testers who has been able to consistently reproduce this issue internally has found that the freezing only occurs while in full screen mode, but not in windowed or maximized mode.
Can those of you expriencing this try [b]without -nosound[b] in windowed mode to see if the issue still occurs.
Thanks for all the help everyone!

This is really great news, it confirms that the issue we're seeing internally is the same issue you have been experiencing.
A fix for it is in the works.
Keep the reports comming!
