I was testing warlock talent builds on test this week and found a minor bug.
I created a NF/SL warlock ( http://www.wowhead.com/talent/?NA0bVRbZbxuzgxot ) and played around with all three pets, and enabled soul link. Obviously you get the Master Demonologist buff on both the pet and the player when you have that in the talent build.
-20% threat : imp
+10% damage : succ
+60 all resist : felhunter
Anyways So i pulled out all the pets and played around Then i went to iron forge and respeced my warlock. I changed to NF/Conflag:

Clearly the new build does NOT have master demonologist. I then proceeded to test the build. What i soon discovered is when i summoned pets, the pets would have the master dm buff on them, and then I would have the master dm buff.
Effectivily I was able to use the buff from the previous build even though i wasn't spec'd like that in the talent tree.
So i thought it was some wierd thing, so I logged out and back in and it didn't go away. I procced to die, and came back and it didn't go away.
The only way I found that I could lose that wonderful benifit was if my pet was killed, and I had to resummon my pet.
So like if i had the voidwalker out with it and summoned my succubas, i would still have it, i could summon my voidwalker back and still have it. But if i sent my voidwalker in on a mob and it died, and i re-summoned it, then it would go away.
Anyways this is probably a really minor bug but maybe someone could find a way to exploit it.
