Subject: Continous hard locks lead to hardrive failure
I downloaded the test realm and started playing, after about 5-6 hard locks and black screens, my harddrive, apon rebooting wouldnot boot past windows. After trying pretty much everything, I ended up having to replace my hard drive.

I though maybe my hdd was just getting old, these things happen, so I installed my new hdd and wow, and after abit, I thought Id see if the test realm would work any better, after one hard lock 5 minutes in I turned off my test realm and am afraid to log back into it.

I dont know if anyone else id having this type of problem, but if this is how the next patch is gunna be, Im scared...

Flo, this definitely sounds like a hardware related issue. Can you post your system specs using dxdiag via Run, in the Start menu.

You may also want to check through the Tech Support forums, to see if anyone else has had this same issue.
