Q u o t e: Someone had a hunch in the test forums so I decided to test it out. With Gryphonwing I was getting a 3 second added delay. Other people were reporting 2 seconds, and some as many as 4.
Well I went into ironforge and bought a cheap gun at Timberline arms. Hunter's Boomstick.
Cooldown timers are rounded up or down to the nearest whole number first of all. Important to know. A 1.4 cooldown is considered a 1.0, 1.5 is considered 2.0.
Anyways this is what I found.
Gryphonwing, 2.7 delay, 3 seconds added to damage shot cooldowns.
Hunter's Boomstick, 2.1 delay, 2 seconds added to damage cooldowns.
Conclusion: Our shots have not had additional timers added to them, instead it is our weapon delays that is now being ADDED to our cooldowns.
I ve been able to do more testing on the cooldown bug after i read this thread:

From my observation the weapon speed arent rounded down or up, they use their true value. Exemple:
Hurricane with quiver: 1,41 added cooldown +2
Hurricane without quiver 1,60 added cooldown +2
Heartseeking crossbow with quiver: 2,74 added cooldown +3
Heartseeking crossbow without quiver: 3,1 added cooldown + 4
and
Its very very very hard to take a screenshot of +4 added second because in fact its 3.1 . That leave you 1 tenth of a second (less server lag) to take the screen shot of +4 added second.
Hurricane with or without quiver (There have been no noticable difference with or without a quiver in the cooldown whic is probly due to how the add on calculate the delay)

I tested this issue on the test realm and it appears to be fixed. Unfortunately, the newer bug which adds ranged weapon speed to cooldown timers makes it impossible to verify if this is actually fixed. As soon as we get that issue resolved I will update you on this one.
Q u o t e: Any word on when Ranged Weapon Specialization will get fixed on live servers? It was broken in patch 1.4 aka Honor System of 4/23/05.
I was unable to reproduce this issue on our live or test realms. Talent points placed into Ranged Weapon Specialization appear to be adding damage correctly. If you have any additional information or steps in order to reproduce it, post it here. Until then I wouldn't consider this to be a bug.

I understand that this issue effects the hunter class a great deal. I play a hunter on the live servers, as well as several other classes, in order to better understand our playerbase. Be assured, like Caydiem, I will do everything I can to get this and the other issues resolved as soon as possible.

On a side note, several people have questioned my ability to understand each individual class and more specifically the hunter. While I can't say that I have a level 55+ hunter as of yet, I can say that I am well on my way. While having a high level character of a class definately helps in understanding it, but I dont feel that this should be the only requirement. In otherwords, being level 60 does not necessarily equate to a good player.
Here's a tidbit of my WoW experience in the live servers in case you're still curious:
Level 60 Priest
Level 60 Faction unique class (I prefer to keep this one secret to avoid provoking any remarks of alliance/horde favoritism)
Level 59 Rogue
Level 47 Hunter (This is the character currently receiving most of my attention)
Level 32 Warrior
My eventual goal is to have every class covered, but unfortunately it means I won't be sleeping until next year if I do so.
