So I downloaded the patch via the Blizzard Downloader, and it doesn't do anything. Actually, it does create a "prepatch.txt" file that says:
Blizzard PrePatch v2.71 compiled on Jun 4 2004
This program patches World of Warcraft
Log created at 7:11 pm on 07/19/2006
RESULT: Prepatch successful
And that's all it does. It doesn't apply the patch, or create the WoWTest folder, which I deleted from the previous test realms.
Usually I download the patch to my desktop, then open the file and it always works fine. Since it didn't, I tried copying the patch file to the WoW folder.. that didn't work either. So I tried using the Blizzard Downloader in the WoW folder, and that didn't work either.
Does anyone have any ideas? Am I doing something wrong, or is there a problem with the patch file?
