Knowing how many are waiting, doesn't tell you how many are playing.

That's all you have to say on the matter?

No "we're doing X to help the problem"...?

What kind of a response is that?

It's all I have to work with; I work in development but even so, not everyone in development has access to all details of the server plan. I suspect more information about test server availability will be on the way, but I can't tell you what I don't know.

And then there's the category of things I do know but haven't obtained explicit permission to share, and those stay "in the vault".

If I was running the test realm to test new hardware and setting the login cap etc, I would start out at a normal number for the cap, and then raise it periodically once I had good data in hand about CPU / database usage, rather than shoot for the moon on the first day and possibly run into overloads in gameplay.
