Hello all,
i was in an instance with a group that had another priest, we both about the same level and we both holy spec, not shadow. We also had a same level pally.
The DPS on the team sux bad, we didnt even have a rogue, we hade a war and mage. I was forced to argo alot to add to the dps pool.
Would a team combined with two holy priests be a good group if it had a rogue, war and mage?
it would have crazy healing power and some good dps...also the argo would be shared by two priests making it easier, no?
seems like this would be great in PvE, any thoughts in pvp? two holy priest in one group?
since priests are always the first target, and now there are two priests...wouldnt that ensure the survival rate of at least one healer?
anyone else want to roll with ideas on party builds?

Veera, what dungeon were you in? If you were in a 5 man group, 1 Priest should be all you need as long as your group is semi-capable. If you had to add to the DPS, were you using Smite or your Wand?
A group of 2 Priests, 1 Paladin, 1 Warrior, and 1 Mage does not sound like you should have had to add to the DPS at all. You should have had the Warrior grab as much aggro as possible, have the Paladin off-tank, and the Mage AoE. That way, one of you could have kept the Warrior alive, and the other could have kept the Mage alive.

Dorenal, you say that Priests have only one role in groups, but you also say that if they spec a certain way they have another role. If you have two Priests in a group, and either of them are specced down the Shadow tree, that is two roles they can play; backup DPS and healer. Even if they are not specced down the Shadow tree, between their Wand, Smite, Holy Fire, they can add to the damage pool, just not as much.

Priests can DPS without Shadow, just not as effectively. Warriors can tank without Protection, just not as effectively.
