Subject: Question to Tseric- Presence of Mind
A quick question about Presence of Mind from a Mage alt. I understand that Spells are affected from +spell damage equipment in different ways. An Instant Spell gets less of a bonus than a spell like scorch, which gets less than a longer spell like Fire Ball. Knowing that, I would assume that Pyroblast gets full benefit of +spell damage gear because of its long cast time.

With Presence of Mind, however, Pyroblast can be made an Instant Spell. My question is- Does the Now Instant Pyroblast get the Same Benefit from +spell damage as it does when cast normally, or is it now affected by the Benefit that applies to Instant Casts?

spell damage bonuses are applied before something like PoM affects the cast time. Cast times are calculated from their base cast time, not talented cast time.
