Ok, this thread is redundant, All information should be redirected to the official Arcane Missiles Bug thread on the Bugs Forum which is regularly read by devs/reps.

In response to the call for help from the devs, seeking any informaiton / tests you might have on reproducible steps which will cause Arcane Missiles not to fire, but consume mana.
This bug has plagued mages since beta. The developers are aware of the problem, but need more help from us.
Hopefully this thread will kick off, the forums might actually prove useful.[ post edited by Avendeval ]

This may be related to the blink bug in the sense that a big factor is likely the terrain. I will pass on information presented here to QA regarding attacking from an elevated position. Any more specifics you could provide are obviously appreciated.
