K I read a response on this forum made by a blue about how resists will even out as people chose to get nature or ice or fire depending on which instances they run. K thats fine, despite the fact that fire is the most picked on now, it wille ven out, cool.
But my question, is WHERE is my defenses? You are giving every class + fire resist or + nature resist. So basically you eventually plan to screw over every caster. You don't see any of my clothing giving me a +2% chance to parry. I think thats only fair.
Plate will give + armor, +stam, + str, + dodge/crit/hit chances. + resists
Cloth gives a wee bit of +armor, + stam/int/spirit, we have to chose. + hit/crit/spell dmg. + resists.
I mean if you are giving everyone the ability to resist me, what do I get? More int so i can sit there and shoot out spells they resist? Evens out right? WRONG. Seew hile I am casting, they to melee me. That makes it so I have to cast even longer! So now my target isn't dead because my spells can't land, and he is drilling me and its not like I am blocking his attacks. So now I get to die, with my mana pool at half full!
Just doesn't seam right. You make us chose between stats and it sucks, then you let everyone resist us. And those resista re added bonus, its not like they are really sacraficing anything for them, its just a gift.

Now, regardless of losing inventory space, I am going to carry around a set for EACH resistance, and swap it via macros, or UI's!
My poor mage..and soon all other casters too =/.
And do you think that this is a reasonable tactic for a melee class? Do you think all melee classes are going to stock up on nature, shadow, fire, ice resist gear to be "prepared" for any situation? While it may be possible, it is not very likely and I don't forsee many players following suit (no pun intended).
Do you see the forest or the trees?
