I know as well as the rest of you that we don't get a lot of blizzard response in this forum.
I would just like to possibly start a section that has only questions, and well thought out suggestions.
One post i read called Tseric a blizzard troll. Maybe if we didn't go crazy like monkeys in a zoo he would be more willing to anser questions and talk to us.
So what I propose is that in this thread people just try to be civil and ask there questions without flaming anyone else?
My question is rather simple.
I understand that + hit hels counter the base "miss" chance that my spells have. what happens when you have more % hit stat then you need. is that rolled over in a bonus somehow or is it just ignored?
I hope you are still reading, and I hope this thread works as I would like.

Q u o t e: Q: Can we please not have our 31 point talents be dispellable?
I plan to inquire thoroughly regarding the PvP aspects of this, primarily. Due to dispelling and cleansing and such being limited to a couple classes, I am not going to be able to convince anyone this is a huge imbalance. However, I will ensure that this concern is monitored for long-term effects.

Some specifics that I can provide at this time:
Q u o t e: Q: Why is all PVP armor devoid of spirit?
Spirit not being an attribute that primarily affects PvP, it was opted to add other stats/effects to PvP gear that facilitate PvP performance.
Q u o t e: Q: Why do melee charactors receive so many weapon choices when reaching rank 14 while casters only get one option?
Melee characters are more gear-dependant than caster. As such, they have more weapon/armor options. However, caster itemization is being developed further and should provide more selection in the future.
Q u o t e: Q: Can blink clear other player's target if they have selected the mage? Fear and Feign Death do this for other classes, yet teleporting does not make people lose sight of us.
Something I can ask about.
Q u o t e: Q. Why does Poly continue to heal at such a high rate now that diminishing returns, and shorter pvp durations have been added? Especially since the healing was added to compensate for an overpowered 45sec non-diminishing poly. It is still the only CC that increases healing, and like fear is subject to trinkets, diminishing returns, and early breaking.
The addition of diminishing returns (or others) was not a change that negated the desire for this component to be part of the spell's functionality.
Q u o t e: Q. Why is Ignite dispellable? I do not see Ignite as a magic ability. From what I understand Ignite means:
1. 1. To cause to burn.
2. To set fire to.
2. To subject to great heat, especially to make luminous by heat.
3. To arouse the passions of; excite: The insults ignited my anger.
So by normal thought, I would think Ignite should not be able to be removed by a dispell magic command but by jumping in a body of water. I see the Ignite talent as "Oh $!@% my pants are on fire!!"
Ignite is a spell effect and as such, is treated as the source of the spell is treated (or similarly to how many spell effects are treated). While it may be fire, it is still generated through magical means.
Q u o t e: Q. Why are there so many player made and world drop items so heavily frontloaded with FIre resist? i realize its in effort to provide a method of progressing in places like MC BWL etc but did you all ever consider the ramifications of everyone having 200 FR to say the fire mage?
Again, itemization is being expanded to encompass other resist types, class types, etc. There are other methods of approaching this situation which are under consideration, as well.
Q u o t e: Q. Are their any plans to give mages some way to Wipe Agro?
It has been the opinion of devs that aggro management for a mage pivots on controllable dps and escape tactics. Then there is Ice Block. At this time, the addition of more spells is something the devs are refraining from, so specific spells to remove threat probably will not be implemented in the near future.

Q u o t e: Q: Will Curse of Elements (Warlock debuff that lowers enemies Frost and Fire resistance) EVER be helpful to Frost mages?
I hope so. Curse of Elements and Shadows are incredibly useful in a group environment. At least two of the mages three trees are covered. We will try to get the last part fixed as soon as we can.[ post edited by Tseric ]
