This is concerning my experience on every patch day.
I am a somewhat educated veteran of mmo's who tries very hard, not only to keep up on my class, but also who tries to read this forum.
Right now, I am very fustrated and one step closer to leaving this game because every patch, the effort required to make the UI friendly to my use and enjoyable to play increases.
I use: Telo's Side and bottom bars, and Raid Assist.
Telo's bars are much more user friendly and make gameplay much more enjoyable then the even updated standard UI
Raid Assist has always provided functionality and usability that should have been built in to the standard UI since the beginning. Even the updated UI does not do this once again.
I understand the need to update code and changes; and I read this forum weekly to try to understand things.
Every Patch Day; as my reconfigure time grows; i resolve to look into alternatives sooner to this game.

Wow, that was a very nice post, thank you very much! Yes, there is a lot of work that goes on to help ease the transition each patch. (for the record, Iriel rocks!) I understand what you're feeling though. Luckily, I use an addon set that is updated promptly on patch day. :)
