Is there an email address or someone I can contact at Blizzard who can give me an answer on a policy issue?
I need to ask a question about something I want to do, and get an answer (either yes or no) whether it is against the TOU or they just plain don't want me doing it.
The TOU is ambiguous in this area and it has me wondering whether to go ahead or not. Since the policy document is not forthcoming (at least I don't think so any time soon?) I would appreciate a ruling on the issue.
I really don't want to have to guess, and once I've released the code, the cat's out of the bag so-to-speak.

I don't think you're going to get an official ruling, Norganna. I appreciate the effort though.
In general the policy has been let it ride unless something is a big problem, and then Blizzard will announce it and the addon authors need to remove that functionality.[ post edited by slouken ]

No problem. :)
As long as it's not involving a third party program running while the game is running, and doesn't specifically do anything that Blizzard has made an announcement about (e.g. automated movement), then it's probably okay for now. If it becomes a problem, Blizzard will announce it.

Plus what I'm talking about is shipping small seed data of very commonly mined nodes and all bad (broken) node, so that they have something when they first boot up. I feel that if this keeps them happy then they won't go looking elsewhere.
By the way, shipping broken nodes may bite you, as they're being reviewed and fixed.
