Subject: /viewport - is it possible?
Ok, if you've ever heard of this, help me out.

In Everquest there was a command in the game for ui modification called
/viewport

It worked in essence like this... you would type /viewport X Y A B
X was the width resolution you wanted your screen to be
Y was the height resolution you wanted your screen to be
A was the width you wanted the ui to start drawing the screen, starting from the left at zero and going right
B was the height you wanted the ui to start drawing the screen, starting from the top at zero and going down

Basically by doing this you could set UI elements on darkened, undrawn sections of the screen, giving you a lot of versatility and also improving FPS as you weren't busy rendering objects that were hidden by UI elements.

Here, this is what my EQ screen looked like.

Notice the game isn't rendered on the bottom 1/3rd of my screen, that way my text box is nice and clear and I have no problem reading it.

ANYWAYS

If anyone knows of an addon or any way to do this in WoW, PLEASE I beg you, let me know. Thanks a lot.

And it's nice to get a reminder, so maybe someday may become definitely someday. :)
