Folks, I've been pretty laid back on this, but I'm going to put my foot down here. You do not need to know my schedule. What you do need to know is this:
1) I currently plan on meeting with the developers on this subject this week.
2) This meeting generally lasts over an hour and will go through the points on the amended List.
3) Once that is done, there's a lot of bouncing back and forth between developer, PR and myself, so information won't come out that day.
4) I will keep you informed in regards to where the information is at regular intervals and will do my level best to get it to you as soon as possible.
What I am not going to give you is "The meeting is at 3PM on Friday by the bike racks" and "I'll have that information to you by 4PM" because that will not accomplish anything. The above points are what I stand by.

I mean its that very attitude and vagueness that is pissing off the hunter community why don't you see that?
Again how hard would it be to say the meeting is Thursday I'll try to get soemthign to you by Monday.

Because things are not as cut and dried as you'd like, to be honest. If I was confident in giving you dates, I'd give them -- but I'm not, and my credibility is none too keen here at this point, so I'm playing it safe. This sort of thing takes time and doesn't just depend on me. If it was me and only me, I'd be able to give you an estimate because I know what I'm capable of delivering and when. However, many other people factor into this process, and this is not priority one. As such, I am not confident in setting a day because it would only end in disappointment.
I will get the information to you as soon as I can and offer updates in between that time. That is the best I can give you at this time.

KDM = Caydiem. I can't belive I never made that connection earlier. I had no idea she's been working for Blizzard. She was the one of the few people who seemed to care about the players in... another game... some time ago.

Giving dates is not my job. Giving information I'm confident about is part of my job. I am not confident with giving dates at this time. I am confident with what I posted in my followups in this thread, and that is what information I can offer at this time.

I appreciate your opinion, however, coming in with a manifesto and demanding things be fixed right this second is not conducive to a good working environment nor will it get your class changed to a good point in the long-term. You may have your own opinions on this one truth, but the developers do have reasons for what they change. As your liaison, it is my duty to communicate to them what you feel is broken or working poorly and why. On their end, they explain why the class is as it is and why things were changed a certain way, and we discuss civilly where the class is going in a manner that benefits everyone.
I feel the need to clarify a few points about duties and why this meeting cannot happen RIGHT THIS SECOND when I request it:
1) Working on Hunter issues is not my only task during the day, and I have many duties that I must attend to (some of which aren't in the public eye).
2) The developers who are responsible for Hunters are not ONLY responsible for Hunters, and there are other, sometimes higher priority tasks that require their attention, as well as unexpected issues that crop up.
3) As a result of this, our days are all very full and we must find a point where we can sit down and meet for a good portion of uninterrupted time.
I hope I've clarified that for you somewhat.

Cay, a general sugestion:
One of the few things tha DAoC did right was giving a spokeperson for each class, that way *1* person was incharge of gathignt he bugs, ideas etc for jsut oen class, givign those tot he devs, and inturn giving the class feedback.
That way, insted of you trying to cover druids, hunters and who ever elese, u jsut cover 1 and soem oen elese does the rest.
In DAoC this was a played man system, i woudl sugest that Blizard NOT do that! It just created an elete grp of testers that tened to go w/ the same confing, and in turn only repersent part of the class population.
Ideally we would love to do that, Myene, but as it is we have five members of the Community Team and there are nine classes to cover. We do not have the manpower to do this in that fashion. We're doing the best we can with what we have. :)
