I was hoping to get something clarified. It's been stated that you'll only be able to fly around in the Outland areas. I was wondering though if you would be able to use your flying mount as a ground mount while in Azeroth.
It says on the preview page:
"Every flying mount can also run on the ground just like regular mounts can.
While walking, the nether drake behaves exactly like a regular mount, but its speed is at least as fast as that of the faster epic land mounts."
As I haven't bought an epic mount yet, I'm curious if I can use the flying mount in Azeroth and save myself the trouble of getting a fast horse.

They can be used to fly with or to use as a ground mount while in Outland. You can not use them outside of Outland.

Yes, they will be very fast. Faster than normal epics. How much more? I don't have a percentage to give you but it's probably best to avoid large bugs. One of those suckers hits you and you could go down for the count. ;)

The difference is that Outland is being designed with free flight in mind. Azeroth itself wasn't designed with that in mind. All the current flight paths are set and there are some geometry issues that would cause problems.
Landmass should be increasing by another 25%.

Or maybe you don't have to pay for them, maybe it's something else like a questline or something, in that case I won't save money for nothing :)
And will warlocks / palladins have free flying mounts?
We haven't released the "how much" end of the information as of yet and I don't know of any plans for Paladin or Warlock flying mounts either. Sorry. ;)
