The Talisman of Ascendance, one of the max rank rewards from the AD turn in quests currently appears to be affecting ranged physical damage (this damage is listed as "spell" under the combat log).
However, other trinkets and items with nearly identical wording, TOEP, ZHC, do not affect any Hunter abilities aside from Arcane shot and Serpent Sting.
Is the new functionality of this trinket intended?
Is it a known bug?
Is it the new norm for trinkets with this type of buff?
Will the other trinkets that increase dmg/healing to spells also affect ranged physical damage?[ post edited by Foxcat ]

The Talisman should only be affecting a few of a Hunters magic-based shots (Arcane Shot, etc.)
It might be good to spend your AD Insignias on something else and/or report this in the bug report forum if the Talisman is affecting physical-based damage, ranged or otherwise.
