I was curious after reading the storyline behind the Blood Elf Paladins for the expansion: will the Blood Knights be a seperate, different class in certain respects, or will they just be Blood Elves with the Paladin class attached?
I ask mainly because of this quote, from the Blood Knight storyline:
"Although Warchief Thrall and High Chieftain Cairne Bloodhoof openly opposed the blood elves' methods, they recognized the Blood Knights' strategic value. Indeed, it is likely that the group figured heavily in the Horde's ultimate decision to offer membership to the blood elves.
Blood elf paladins have swiftly grown confident in their borrowed abilities. Nevertheless, as even the most inexperienced mage will attest, when powerful forces are manipulated against their intended purpose...
The consequences can be perilous."
I'm assuming they're gonna go the easy route and just make Blood Elves Paladins, but it would be cool if the Blood Knights were unique in at least some of their abilities, perhaps making some higher-damage or higher-effectiveness abilities with the chance of it "going awry" and damaging the Blood Knight or his allies, as the stolen Naruu powers go haywire.
"...like Rob Halford getting smacked in the bag"

The term 'Blood Knights' will essentially only be used in the game's lore text, such as when reading through quests, books, talking with NPCs, etc... Paladins and Blood Knights, mechanically, will function identically. However, we do plan to add some flavor distinction between the two, just as we'd like to do for the Draenei Shaman.
