Subject: Profanity and it's penalties.
Here's something that really makes me mad - and I am sure that I am not the only one who believes this is a big issue.

Profanity filters, you have the option to turn them off to read profanity or keep them on and not read these 'nasty' words.

Did you know you can get in trouble for profanity in the World of Warcraft? Now you know! I found out the hard way, by using profanity.

But this is really stupid, I mean why does blizzard have a profanity filter option if you CAN'T cuss anyways?? ... Makes ZERO sense to me and quite frankly "kisses" me off.

Why don't you just LET US CUSS and if people complain about it they should be advized to T-U-R-N O-N T-H-E P-R-O-F-A-N-I-T-Y F-I-L-T-E-R.

Thank you for reading,
Spade

that's just the way they are.

The profanity filter is provided for those that do not wish to see profane words, however it is not license to use profane language within the game. Not everyone in the game is a carbon copy of you, and we all have our own thoughts on what we deem as acceptable behavior or language. While you may use that language in your daily vernacular, there are many that don't, and many that find such use highly offensive. We have to ensure that the game is maintained as a friendly atmosphere for anyone who may be playing, and ask that you please keep that in mind while you're talking with others. You also agreed you wouldn't in the Terms of Use if you need more specific persuasion...

You can have fun; just choose some more appropriate words when expressing yourself and you'll be fine. You may want to try some words that sound like they may be bad, like fudgesicle, scrimshaw, or tutankhamen.

"Aw fudgesicle! That dirty scrimshaw ninjad my chest! You rotten tutankhamen!" See? Now do like I do.

Q u o t e:
What you call self control I call bending to the will of ignorant people who want to assert control over me.

You agree to abide by specific rules while playing this game, and if you cannot do so you will be removed. Although... in stages usually, we assume most players have the ability to learn from their mistakes and we attempt to give them a few chances.

You can attempt to place your personal ideals on what you believe should be right or wrong within society on anything you like, but in the end we have control over the game, and you agreed to give it to us.

Aside from that, Drysc, it's Tutankhamun, Toot Ahnk Ah-moon. Very common mistake, but it annoys me for some reason to hear the anglisizing of the word.

I actually had to look up the correct spelling ,and apparently chose a poor source, I apologize. It seems both spellings are widely used and I hadn't spent enough time varifying which was the correct english phonetic translation.
