Company's Response
Initial Response - Posted 7-21-2006
Additional hardware is continually being added and realms have been migrated to this hardware to distribute the load on our servers. This does not mean that any existing hardware being used is out of date. Furthermore, hardware improvements are determined by projected effectiveness which may account for why a realm may have not received additional updates.
The customers complaint is contradictory as hardware fixes are acknowledged while claims are being made that Blizzard is refusing to update out of date hardware. The ability to play on servers is present and the downtime occurred through weekly schedule maintenance (and emergency maintenance as needed) only seeks to improve realm stability and performance.
If you are unhappy with the performance of a particular realm then you may also decide to transfer using the Paid Character Transfer service. Please follow the following link to our frequently asked questions about this service.

Initial Response Summary
Blizzard continues to make necessary hardware updates as deemed appropriate. Services are currently available to resolve the customers concern.
Consumer's Rebuttal
Rebuttal - Posted 7-28-2006
I should not be FORCED to pay 25.00 to play a service that I already pay 15.99 monthly for (and have for almost 2 years). I am unable to play on the Terenas server, doing raid content, and have not been offered a FREE transfer to allow me to play, nor has a time frame been given to know when my server will be fixed.
Company's Final Response
Final Response - Posted 8-3-2006
You are free not to use the service, however such a service is not inluded in your service contract with Blizzard Entertainment. Please review the Terms of Use which you agreed to when you signed up for our service (http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/legal/termsofuse.html), that you may familiarize yourself with what your subscription fees entitle you to. Blizzard continues to make necessary hardware updates as deemed appropriate, such upgrades and harware changes take time to properly implement.

Q u o t e: I just wanted to see how they would respond.
Q u o t e: I expected the response and Tseric normally is embarassed by it and locks or dumps it.
Excuse me...dumps it?
This is the third time you've posted this in as many days. Your initial post dropped away with few responses. Posting it again got my attention as spam.
Now, a third time, yes?
Well, here's your attention. What are you going to do with it?
Q u o t e: I will say, that the posts about replacing hardware did come after my complaints, so hopefully those people that filed complaints at the same time as me had some hand in them at least saying there was a problem.
The fact that you think our long-standing plans for hardware improvement were spurned on by anything that has occurred in the past month or because of dealings with the BBB is fallacious, but I imagine you don't really have the perspective to see that.
Enjoy.

Q u o t e: I've simpily found the Cm's posts becomeing more and more antagonistic and unprofessional.
Actually, I am much less antagonistic than when I started. I have certainly mellowed out, but still engage in confrontation for specific reasons.
Here's the difference between the approach you suggest and what I do.
Yes, a suspension would give the troll time to cool off, maybe. What is more likely is that he is not fully aware of why he was banned because it was not explicitly communicated. Email is never going to satisfy a suspended poster. This leads to resentment against authority.
Now, in my method, he can continue to post, but now has added considerations as to his tone and method of posting. Notice the poster has not returned to this thread, yet has not been removed from the forums.
He now has time and opportunity to change his methods in response to feedback given.
So, silently remove undesirables from the forums or beat them at their own game and have more chance of seeing the return of someone who wants to be part of the community?
Fact is, most trolls don't change their habits from suspensions alone, but simply end up getting banned after repeated trolls.
I am also Off-Topic...[ post edited by Tseric ]

Q u o t e: Collective IQ. Tseric contributes to the worthlessness of the forums as a means of communication.
I've helped people with their homework on Off-Topic. What have you contributed?

Q u o t e: So your contribution is one that is not related to your actual job, wonderful. Maybe things would be better if you did even less work.
My contribution is more than that. A quick comparison of your post history to mine clearly shows that.
Still going to try for that 'last word'?

Q u o t e: Why not? All you are doing is proving my point.
You don't have a point. You have an agenda. Or, perhaps a grudge.

Q u o t e: You combat trolls by becoming one. You have admitted as much. Every single follow up post has only reinforced your original statement. As a CM, that should be a source of shame, not pride.
A troll attempts to disrupt conversation.
I engage in conversation.
I am neither shameful nor prideful of my actions and methods.
I do what I do because that is what I do. I have my reasons, based in experience. Your reasons are from an outside source and don't share that experience, or so I can only guess.
If I wanted to be a "proper CM" as you suggest, you wouldn't have been here past uttering the word 'douche'.
Think about the leeway I offer people.
Think about how you have used that leeway.
Relish the fact that we are still communicating.
Then, find a real definition of what a troll is, because I'm not sure yours is accurate.

Q u o t e: All the time he is responding to me is time he could have used to craft insightful replies or seek further information from developers. In essence, by successfully baiting Tseric, I am stealing from all of you.
I have crafted plenty of meaningful replies and conveyed plenty of information today.
In fact, I came in early because I thought it was Thursday. So, I will be in the office for about 14 hours today. The time spent here is a drop in the bucket.
You have also shown and admitted to what a real troll is in the above quote, so my parting comments will be...thank you.[ post edited by Tseric ]

Q u o t e: Become a retail manager and then you will know my pain.
I've already been a retail manager. I know your pain.
Trust me, this pain is marvelously different and delicious.
P.S. - Good luck to you in the coming months ;)
