All the time my guild is putting into Naxx, all the stunning gear that is coming from it, is it all a waste? In a few months, my T3 is going to be as good as the Imperial Plate set is now at level 60. Its going to be obsolete. Worthless. Nexus crystals.
So would it be so far fetched to leave WoW untill BC is on shelves?
Another thing (as meaningless as it is, really) that im curious about is: With the progression of quality of gear (Dreadmist, Deathmist, Felheart, Nemesis, Plagueheart) the items graphics are improved. I'm sure no one can dispute that nemesis looks put Dreadmist to shame. How much farther can you go? I think Plagueheart kinda capped it all off. (Yea, i <3 the way Plagueheart looks... obsurd, I know.)

I sure hope it isn't wasted, I hope you're having fun. That should be the point of playing a game. If you're having fun then nothing is wasted.
As Eyonix stated earlier today, Tier 3 will likely not be fully sidegraded/upgraded until Karazahn and beyond; or the highest of end-game dungeons currently planned for the expansion. You won't step into Outland, kill your first critter, and start replacing your gear.
Also, we have not announced a release date for the expansion. I wouldn't start making plans based on guesses of when it will be released. Have fun in the current game, worry about the expansion when it arrives, or at least when we announce an official date.

Not necessarily, just don't start making plans based around a date someone made up so they could secure your pre-order.
