Subject: Socketed Items
So I'm wondering, are all items going to be socketed for the expansion? And when do items being to sockets, cause it's bad enough to have twinks with crusader. If I remember right, at blizzcon you had to be lvl 15 to be a jewelcrafter.

Not all items will have sockets, and they will generally be reserved for the higher levels. I'm not sure if the level 15 requirement to learn Jewelcrafting is final.

Q u o t e:
So will items that drop have empty sockets, or can you get thema added?

I don't know of any current plans to allow socketing of non-socketed items (ie adding sockets).

Will any items already in the game be changed to have sockets in them?

It's unlikely as we try not to change existing items as much as possible, but there is always a possibility. The socketable items will be created and balanced around the idea of variable stats, with lower base values and the idea of building up those stats. Current (non-socketed) weapons just aren't created with that type mechanic in mind. Temporary weapon buffs and enchants of course graze this area, but it's a different type of mechanic as far as static weapon improvement.
