OK Blizz why are you trying to make World of Warcraft seem sci-fi. I really didnt have a clue about how much you guys screwed up the story line untill now. Thats nice that you want to be innovative and new but you are sacrificing the very foundations of the Warcraft universe by doing it. The game all of us WoW fans love is about magic and swords and close qaurters combat not space ships and laser guns. Why couldnt you just flow with the story and make the Draenei come through the Dark Portal like the Orcs, and just say that they were from a alternate universe, the oppisite of the Eldredar. Seriously Blizz come on please get your act together for your customers for goodness sake. I still play WC3 and WoW because I love the intense focus on lore and now you have gone and screwed if all up. INTERPLANETARY TRAVEL IS A HUGE DIFFERENCE THAN A MACHINE RAN ON STEAM. You guys need to do somthing about it and not just go, "hey were sticken with it". Thats not fair to us who provide your paycheck.

We're not talking about a spaceship here. It's more in line with a trans-dimensional transport. The Titans were able to travel through space to work on further developing worlds and ordering them. The Orcs traveled from another planet.
Think about the fact that mages can transport themselves all over Azeroth by creating portals and Warlocks can call upon the power of the Nether to summon people to them.
This is no different.
I realize many people cringe when the idea of space comes up but we already know that Azeroth is not the only planet in existence and that there are some very powerful forces at work in the universe.

It was and many (including myself) fell into the trap of using the word when it really doesn't even pertain to this instance.
I think in this case people are splitting some hairs over the original topic and Chris Metzen has done a great job of explaining his position and the resulting lore since.
