It's the main reason I'm not Horde. It's so boring, big, bland, and annoying. I've always wanted to roll a shaman, but held off because of the Barrens, (Silverpine isn't much better either). I just hope that the Horde 11-20 zone in BC is better.

To be honest, I rather enjoy the Barrens but do admit after taking a dozen and a half characters through the zone, it feels a slight bit tedious. I have some advice, however. When playing new Horde characters, I tend to hit the Barrens around level twelve and stay for about three levels, (which goes very quickly). I then move onto Silverpine Forest -- since the game expects me to hit that zone around twelve, I remain ahead of the curve and level much quicker.
I usually return to the Barrens around eighteen to finish up a couple of efficient quests and move on to bigger and better things.
Strategizing how and where I level new characters really seems to help in the long run.

I like it to a degree. It has it's own charms like the fly infested Centaur.
Then again, the dust can get pretty thick and you get that not so fresh feeling after awhile as your skin starts to feel gritty. I think the Orcs like it though.

Nevah! No special enhancements here. We're all natural levelers.
