Subject: Have you seen Eyonix(CM)-Shammy
The Shaman Community is in a state of anger, confusion, ignorance, need...

Prior to the Shaman review we recieved little information on what was happeneing and what was going to happen.

Since the review, we have seen one response from the Shaman CM (this response is on a Druid forum discussing how he liked to spam Moonfire on his new Druid). This is causing a problem in the community. We have questions reguarding the review and not a single one has been answered. Since we haven't seen an answer we suspect none of them have even been read.

Prior to the review our CM, Eyonix was sick and we had a stand in CM which did the best he could, but we needed a stable platform to rest our ideas on. When our CM did return, one week before the review he recieved posts from angry shamans. It was ugly, but understandable. The shaman review was complete and there were not going to be any changes to fix the major flaws. To the shaman community it looks as if the Devs never even saw or reviewed any of the flaws that plague the shaman community.

The Shaman community posted many viable options to fix many of the flaws involving the shaman community. None of these, or similar fixs were seen in the review.

The Shaman still deal with the same fundamental flaws which plague the class. The major concerns are a viable second option for a raiding spec. The changing of the Enhancement tree, which fixed none of the problems related with the Tree. A buff to Elemental Combat, which was nice, but really not needed. A small patch to the Restro Tree, which is fine except for two issues. Druids recieved innervate for free so they wouldn't be required to spec restro in a guild. Mana Tide Totem makes the same requirement for the shaman. We have never been told why we couldn't have it as a lvl 60 trainable talent. We were told that mana regen in combat is only for the core caster classes(Druid, Priest, Pally-How is pally a core caster and a shaman who is an offensive battle mage not a core caster?) Shamans go OOM faster than any other class I have played.

Finally our shaman buffing system. This would take too long to explain and I am affraid that classes with little to no information on this class would respond. So I ask you to visit the Shammy community to find out all the problems with the Totem Buffing System.

The Shaman Community doesn't want to be all powerfull. What we want is end game raid viability and a reason for the Horde to not replace us with other classes (Druid for healer, Rogue for Damage, Mage for Damage.) If we are a hybrid, and can't be great in any of these trees, we need a reason to be wanted and accepted as a viable end game class.

So, Have you seen Eyonix, our shammy CM?

The class team has currently focused their design attention toward the rogue review. I do however still think that it's very likely the shaman will see further improvement in patch 1.12, as we study the effects and witness the impact of the recently implemented shaman class adjustments. I don't have any useful information to provide at this time, unfortunately. I can assure you that the numerous thoughts and opinions expressed on these boards concerning your class have found their way to all appropriate members of the design team.

In short, right now I've nothing to report.
