Subject: The Expansion Pack "Resolution"
It's so disappointing that when the grinds of endgame, the complete raid-centric focus of endgame, is constantly talked about, the only thing Tigole (and by extension Blizzard) could say was that they hoped the resolution would be in the expansion pack.

Blizzard, for whatever reasons (maybe their parent company, the new management, whatever) has begun to sacrifice reputation in order to drain as much profit as they can. I'm sure short term, that'll be a wise business policy. Long term, I think a lot of gamers are going to hold it against them.

People bought the game and were under the impression that the designers would try to add fun content with the "content patches." But for an absurd amount of time, any good idea a dev comes up with they decide to put in the expansion pack. What have we seen since the BGs and Dire Maul? As far as I can tell, it's been "Grind. Grind. Grind. Raid. Grind. Farm. Grind."

I don't expect them to suddenly take Kharazon and place it in this game. Clearly those decisions are set in stone. But with a game that you can patch online, where you can add and change content, when there are so many complaints - you shouldn't be telling us that the resolution you hope will fix the game will be... in an expansion pack. You can patch THIS game, you can change THIS game. People have an expectation that you will try to do this, that you will try to improve the game and not force us to buy another product to fix the problems with this one.

Main point: try to make use of your content patches. You haven't been doing so. And when your expansion pack comes out, players will be viewing it as their "last hurrah" with WarCraft because they'll assume nothing good will come out of the content patches for that either.

There is quite alot of content that is going to be added with the expansion pack. The team has a very aggressive plan they are working on and I think people are going to be very pleased with it.

I can't go into details as of yet since we all know those details could be subject to change but as we have information to release and have the approvals to release it, we will.

Don't forget that while there is content that will only be available through purchasing the expansion pack, there is also content and changes (such as PvP) that will be available to all due to the global effect that content has on gameplay.

Q u o t e:
No offense to Nethaera. I know you're just doing your job and its not YOU who makes the content.

Many of us feel like we've heard this before. How can we have any confidence that the expansion will be any different?

That trust has been broken a few too many times.

I won't buy the expansion initially. I'll wait and see what people have to say about it first. I'm wary of it now.

Please keep in mind that I may work here but I am also a fan and have been one since before the game ever released. I remember the long LAN parties that lasted until 5am just to play Warcraft Orcs and Humans. I understand where people are coming from. I also know what I'm looking forward to at this point more than you all do and I am not trying to hold a carrot out on a stick (you all know that quest right) and saying 'no really' to you all. I really do believe in what is being worked on. You can take my word for it or you can choose to ignore it as is your choice. I'm just giving you all a little bit of what I can.

I don't know if we're saying as of yet Aveny. Once I have the go ahead though you can bet I'll be letting people know what's in store. I don't want to say something is going to happen and then find out that timetables have had to be shuffled around on us.
