Subject: Dear CMs, Please Resign
DISCLAIMER: most probably consider my opinion on the topic somewhat radical, that may be, but that is not to say that I do not have a very legit point

You guys are lousy at your jobs and don't know what the hell you're doing.

I think it is horrible that you guys are allowed to insult paying customers on these boards. We PAY for this. Not you guys. Thus, we should be treated with respect like customers are at every other business establishment in the world. You guys are only continuing the legacy of Blizzard's HORRIBLE customer support. Blizz is a company that is notorious for not listening to its customers and treating them like crap. You guys are keeping this fact alive. Good job.

How about you guys stop trying to act cool and funny by taking shots at upset customers, because you're not cool, at all. And you guys are not intelligent. You just think you are. Keep your negative, USELESS cheap-shot insults that you respond to people on these boards with to yourselves and DO YOUR FREAKING JOBS AND JUST REPRESENT THIS COMMUNITY-- THAT IS ALL ANYONE HERE WANTS, REPRESENTATION. I'm not your friend, you work for me, get that straight right now. Just do your jobs and keep your stupidity to yourselves. THANKS.

--Sincerely me, one of the MANY, many dissatisfied customers of WoW

Im sorry that you feel that way. I should start by clarifying that we are not customer service, which is why you might see us taking a more on the level approach to answering questions or comments. Its our job to provide information, and not necessarily sugar coat it, or smile and nod while being yelled at. We have the extreme luxury of being able to converse on a more peer-to-peer level which really does help improve the flow of information between us. If we were to tighten up we would lose a lot of what makes our jobs helpful to you. We do like to joke around and have fun with people on the forums, but we hope that the majority of our posts will be related to substantial and important information. Currently we find ourselves in what some may call an information lull, and our posts may be skewed regarding their subject matter. In any case I dont believe any of us ever intend to insult anyone, but we may post in a way that is jarring when a certain type of response may be expected.

As someone already mentioned, if you find one of our posts particularly objectionable please send a link and any comments you may have to: wowcmfeedback@blizzard.com

Our customer support groups do an amazing job and I applaud them for the work they do and endure every single day. I wouldnt dare compare myself to them; they take the abuse and smile.

We are building a forum of extraordinary magnitude.

Q u o t e:
They're not here to make you happy...

Unfortunately we seem to succeed greatly in that aspect. :P

On the reverse I don't think it would ever be our intention to make someone unhappy, but it could be considered a casualty of war, a necessity in our line of work. Nothing we do or say will please everyone, and that it something just about everyone in the world has to accept. The trick is minimizing it, and maybe trying to have a little fun too. It is a game after all, that's why everyone is here.

Our time within the forums is only part of our job, and being the only real visible aspect of our duties I can see how an assumption could be made that it's all that we do. It is an assumption though. Attempting clarity for an idea based on experience and not fact is a slippery slope.

In any case I don't see this thread improving beyond those who are dwelling here, so I'm locking it. I am horrible at what I do and the term 'completely worthless' surpasses my ability etc. etc. I get it, thanks. You can report your concerns properly to the address provided and we can all move on.

We are building a forum of extraordinary magnitude.
