so you released another server (altar of storms). cool. i log in. make my character. zone into the world and scroll my little hand up to the time. guess what?
ANOTHER DAMN EAST COAST SERVER!!
why do you hate me? there is no way i can make it to a raid when it is starting on east coast time
am i mistaken or have all the new ones been EST?
please let me know. i may have missed a PST or MST one. i actually hope i have.
i am anxious to start again on a fresh server where the BG's are always up and no epics to ruin the fun. no established guilds yet. it is fun to see it all come together. but by being on the west coast it is a waste of time for me to roll a guy on these servers.
can you please make the next server PST or even MST.
just throw us a bone here.

New realms are generally going to be of a time-zone relative to their geographic location. It probably does matter where they are, putting more space between client and server is (in theory) likely opening up the possibility for a larger amount of problems to occur. Some peer along a route from users in Florida that a specific ISP there uses goes down and voila, an issue that is outside of our network and possibly could have been avoided by keeping the server closer to the client. There may be other reasons, but that seems the most obvious to me.
In closing, patience my young Padawan.
