To further explain the authentication issues experienced since Monday, we recently implemented code changes to help the authentication servers process the large amount of players logging in each day. Despite these changes the current authentication hardware is still under heavy stress and we have continued to see frequent issues. We take these issues extremely seriously and we wanted to state again that are currently testing new authentication hardware, and we are planning to bring this new hardware up and into full use next Tuesday. While our expectations remain reserved we are fully confident that the new authentication hardware will provide a noticeable difference. During its implementation we may experience some hiccups as it is adjusted, but the long term improvements seem clear.
