You stated "We are trying to consolidate all of the same posts into as few threads as possible." as a reason that you are deleting and locking threads.
I understand that you would want to keep the same topics in one thread, but this is not a flame but the current implimentation of the board search function does not work well, you cannot search for a phrase in quotes without it selecting all the more common words.
If you want to consolidate the threads could you only lock them and not delete them and in the post put a link to the single thread that you are leaveing active? Sometime I cannot understand why a thread is deleted as it does not seem to break and of the forum guidelines and I was not able to find that topic covered on the first page (which I have set to 75).

When we get the new forums it will be much easier to do that. For now though we must all grin and bear it. I will try to include links to other threads that I lock.
