I have been waiting.
I check every day hoping that you will tell me it will be here in 1.11.
Do the devs hate penguins?
Does the art department despise our cold little friends?
The penguins want to be your friends, Eyonix.
They beg you to let them adventure throughout azeroth.
It just isn't fair that they may never get to see Winterspring.
Please, think of the penguins.
Don't make me draw cartoons of sad baby emperor chicks crying.

Alright, I'll follow up on the "penguin" situation later today, or tomorrow. I believe that your love for penguins might be greater than any other love that's ever existed in this world, and I don't want to be an obstacle in the way of such things.

Penguin Update 4/27/06: The design team agrees that the idea is cool, but it's not currently on the to-do list. When more concrete information pertaining to non-combat penguin pets surface, I'll be sure to share.

IRVINE, California - April 27, 2006 - Blizzard Entertainment®, Inc. today announced that World of Warcraft®, its subscription-based massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), will no longer accept player-login from individuals that post insulting remarks towards penguins, or creatures closely resembling penguins.
"We very much regret having to make this decision" says Eyonix, Blizzard's loyal whelpling. "But in the end, we must protect the integrity of all of Azeroth's potential inhabitants.
