So I had heard lots of people talk about since the latest patch, vanish seemed to be bugged. Rogues were hitting vanish and the NPC still came straight for them to attack.
I had that happen today. I aggro'ed the NPC and hit vanish long before it actually reached me to attack (melee mob only). Much to my surprise, despite vanish, it continued running toward me and proceeded to attack.
After the battle, I bug reported and got the following response:
"Please be aware that vanish can be resisted.
The issue reported above is not considered to be "broken" and should be functioning normally."
Since when can vanish be resisted? When was this put in? I don't recall seeing that in the patch notes? Did I just somehow miss it? If it can, indeed, be resisted, shouldn't I see a little "resist" pop up over the NPC's head?

We are investigating vanish as there have been multiple reports on the Bug Report forum concerning its use. I don't have any further information at this time regarding improper functionality, it is something we are actively investigating however.
