Subject: Epic boss drops in scholo/strat etc.
   From 1.10 patch notes:

"In addition, several epic items, such as Headmaster's Charge and the Runeblade of Baron Rivendare, have had their drop rates significantly increased."

Accoring to allakhazam's info, the drop rates of the baron's sword and gandling's staff have not significantly increased whatsoever. I know, these items aren't that great anyways but thats not the point.

Now i realize allakhazam is not completely accurate but it's more accurate than anything out there right now. They wiped the drops from these bosses when 1.10 came out so that the new loot tables would be reflected more accurately.

1% drop rate increased from .5% Sorry, thats not a significant increase. Also his mount has not dropped? Was that a stealth nerf? Was that removed from the drop table?

.49% increased from about .4% from prior to patch.

My question is, why were we lied to? It seems you were just trying to overhype the patch which is pretty low if you ask me. I think we all were expecting these epic drops to be increased to like 3-4% so that we may actually see one in our lifetimes.

Please don't reference third-party websites as a reliable source of droprate information. Mathematics and past data-table clearing aside, there are many factors that can easily upset outside sources' droprate information.

With any situation like this, please bear in mind that non-Blizzard Entertainment "information" sites may not always be correct.

Well hey, look at that. The 'unreliable' third party websites were right!

Just like they were about Faction imbalance while Blizzard was trying to downplay that problem shortly after launch.

As long as these sites continue to provide information THAT PROVES TO BE RIGHT, and as long as Blizzard refuses to communicate with their community, then WOW players will continue to reference these third person sites as the best, most accurate (and only) source of information.

Eyonix's post doesn't really have anything to do with this discussion, Hannibel. He was informing the community of a change of mind by the developers, not an error in drop rates. He claims, "we realize that it doesn't feel very rewarding", talking about the somewhat reduced chances the minibosses in Scholomance had to drop blue items.

Furthermore, Eyonix's post has nothing to do with epic drops in these instances, and nothing at all to do with Stratholme. Please read blue posts carefully before using them to support malformed arguments.

Question: Can you please point me in the direction of an 'official' Blizzard Entertainment droprate information site?

There isn't one at the moment. If things change and we decide to implement one, I'll be sure to let you know.

However, the lack of an official website in no way disparages my warning not to take unofficial websites' "information" as fact, and you'd do well to bear that in mind.
