Subject: A "Developer's Corner" Forum?
I played City of Heroes for a while, and one awesome feature their forums had was a section titled the Developer's Corner where the developers would start a topic (i.e. open it for discussion) and listen to feedback, and engage in 1v1 discussions with players who were contructive.

It was very nice because even though most of the suggestions ended up not being implemented (since there were so many), you could at least hear the reason behind it from the mouth of the developers (and sometimes the Lead Developer). Helped the community get the mindset behind many design decisions.

I see the lack of a direct communication between the players and the developers of WoW as a problem because it alienates both parties from each other. The CMs try to do their best, but they have other responsibilities and might not be enough by themselves, I think.

The developers read the forums frequently, even if they don't respond. One of the main jobs of the Community Team is to be the relayers of information between the developers and you, the players.
Testing account. Please don't mind the name.
