My guild does Onyxia/MC weekly. Every single time they've downed Ony, Ten Storms has dropped. Every single time they've downed Ragnaros, Ten Storms has dropped. Some might call it a coincidence, but I don't think it is.
A guildmate of mine opened a GM ticket complaining that Ten Storms always drops off of Onyxia and Ragnaros. The GM replied, saying it was intended and not broken.
All of our shamans no longer need Ten Storms. We are DEing epic loot because we don't need it. Basically, all the other classes are getting screwed because they have less of a chance to get their gear.
What... the... crap... blue?

If I flipped a coin 100 times it is theoretically possible for it to land heads each and every time. The loot tables are not two sided necessarily, but the same amount of randomness exists. I think what you have experienced is an unfortunate string of 'bad luck', if you want to call it that. I don't believe the person who loots or who is designated as master looter will have any bearing on the items dropped.
