We wanted to let you all know the steps we are taking to fix the problems that have recently affected the realms listed below. These performance issues include: corpse retrieval, loot lag, and combat lag.
We have been working with our hardware provider to locate the source of these issues for nearly a week. Yesterday we were able to isolate the problem to a specific part of our system. We immediately took action and are currently in the process of obtaining and setting up the hardware necessary to replace the faulty system. Please note that this is a significant hardware replacement -- it will take some time to prepare the new hardware even with our team working around the clock.
We sincerely apologize for these performance issues and will provide you with a more detailed timeline as soon as more information becomes available.

Update: 2/24/06
Update: We were able to find and replace the faulty hardware last night. Players on these realms should notice a significant improvement in performance compared to what they've been experiencing over the last week.
All players with characters on these realms will receive a 3-day time extension. Once again we apologize for the poor performance and play interruptions.
