Subject: How WOW has changed the world.
I just wanted to know how WOW has had an effect on the people who play and on the world in general. I mean if so many people play it, there has to be an effect, right?
trolls are like night elves, but so much cooler

Good question. One of the things that interests me is sort of tangential to actual gameplay. A game from the U.S. penetrating the market in China. Something like that will have repercussions for the game industry for years to come.

On a different, but related note, I think the market for MMOs is changing and accelerating. Regardless of how long this game lasts, I think a lot of people might now call themselves MMO players when they had previously not. I've seen a great number of people who have said "this is my first MMO" and I'm rather excited for them. I have been facinated by this genre for some time, and having more people to play with in any given world is something I see as a good thing. In some respect, we are seeing a new wave of gamers. I can dig that ;)
Golden crispy! Bad guys are history!
