Every realm I have checked for the past six months has been in the CST timezone (with the exception of the Oceania realms, of course). Blizz, are you no longer making realms for the PST and EST time zones? That seems really odd, considering how many people live in those zones.

They are in CST because that is where the hosting center for said realms is physically located.

Q u o t e: Um, Caydiem, that is a blatant 100% lie (or I could be mistaking what servers you are talking about when you refer to "new")
I currently play on Hakkar. Hakkar is NOT hosted in the CST timezone. I know this for fact. So unless your doing one hell of a transparent proxy traffic bounce from when the traffic exits the ATT Worldnet backbone in LA and moves into the ATTENS cloud then Hakkar is hosted in California which is not CST last time I checked
So which servers are you referring to when you say "new" I'd like to check as well to locate where they are hosted.
It is not a lie. The vast majority of our new realms -- that is, the ones with CST timezone settings -- are located in a hosting center within the same timezone. It is not our only hosting center, but it is the one we are using most frequently these days when a new realm is released.
We do have other hosting centers located elsewhere.
