ok i have a lvl 10 troll hunter and a lvl 10 undead mage. i want to go ful time on one till i reach maybe 30-40. which should i work on?

I'd assume he's asking this question because he's not familiar with either of the classes enough to determine which of the two he's better off investing the time to level.
In any case, Hunten. There are a number of things to consider when choosing a class to focus on in World of Warcraft. Do you think you'll attempt to group, or solo more? What do you want in a character - damage, survivability, or something else? Is the look of your character important? If so, do you generally like the look of the higher level Hunters or Mages you see in-game? What's been your favorite things about each character thus far? Your least?

I don't believe it's misleading at all. There are a number of things you can do without a party after leveling to 60. As a matter of fact, the next patch will bring about some positive change in this area, and in a variety of ways.
Beyond this, who's to say how many patches will pass before he's level 60. Since our focus is on improving soloable and small group content at end-game he will likely have much to look forward to if such happens to be his particular point of interest.
