I've been playing my hunter for a while now.. and after hitting end game, it's becoming more and more obvious that I should've never rolled a horde Hunter. Why? Shamans. First off, Shamans are great, that is.. when they aren't rolling against you on your own set.. The question that always enters my mind is.. "Why?"
First off, I see more and more Shamans with crit gear, Arcanite reapers, Beaststalker, and a mana pool less than mine own.. Which is sad, because I'm a hunter!
Second off, I see more and more shamans messaging me in raid saying "Hey, I'm going to roll against you on <insert Beaststalker item>.
And Thirdly, I see more and more Raid leaders supporting this!
Yes, I know, Beaststalker doesn't have a <hunter> class on it, but why doesn't it? I'm honestly under the impression that Blizzard created the Dungeon 1 Sets to be used by a paticular class, why else would they include set bonuses that correspond with your class?
I took to the streets of Orgrimmar, asking various Shamans. The most common response was "Learn 2 play noob. Beaststalker doesn't have "Hunter" on it so we can roll against you"
Shocking..
So, I give up Beaststalker and go straight for the DM gear.. to my surprise, I get more and more shamans ALSO after this gear.. Am I forever going to be laughed at by shamans as a joke? Forget that.. hunters ARE A joke.. as if there's not enough of them anyway.
So Blizzard, please tell me the Dungeon 2 sets will be class specific, unlike their poorly designed siblings?[ post edited by Melony ]
No, I'm not named after a Melon *sigh*.

While the Dungeon set was created around a single class and there is a different set for each, unless items are specifically created for a class we aren't really going to tell players what item is for who. We prefer to let them work it out. However, in my own experience with PUGs, most players tend to agree that the sets have a specific class and they get priority for need.
As for the Dungeon 2 sets, the pieces are acquired through various methods. The acquisition will be different and I don't think rolling off on a piece is going to be occurring too much.
Bob is my co-pilot.
