It is evident that the Management of Blizzard has deemed it necessary to remove a viable profit making item from the inventory of both Tailors and Leatherworkers.
The Spider Belt made by Tailors and the Green Whelp Armor made by Leatherworkers are undergoing a severe negative change (aka NERF) that will render them less desireable and probably be added to the list of useless items that nobody wants, from the tiny list of useful items that people are willing to pay for.
I only ask, "PLEASE DON'T GRANDFATHER THE CHANGES!!"
Our customers bought the items in good faith from us, we made them for our customers to perform in a specific manner.
While the future of the items as far as a viable profit making avenue is in question, the usefulness of the items already made should not be compromised.
Since they are Soulbound when equipped they cannot be resold.
Please leave the present items as they are and if you must "NERF" then "NERF" the items that will be made.
Please leave existing Spider Belts and Green Whelp Armors as they are.

Actually, the term "grandfathering" means "to permit to continue under a grandfather clause". In your particular case, allowing these items to be grandfathered would have the ones made keep their properties, whereas a lack of grandfathering, as you advocate, would result in every item changing.
Regardless of the grammar faux pas, however, we will not be allowing these items to be grandfathered. It would still allow them to be used in the manner that we did not intend, and thus would rather defeat the purpose of the change. All of the items will be changed, as that is the point of such a move.
Your buyers did buy them in good faith from you, and you should not (and will not) be faulted because we made a change. At the time, the item was good for several things, and the payment was in accordance with that. This should in no way sully your reputation with customers, and thus shouldn't really be a concern.
All of the items will undergo the change; to do otherwise would compromise the purpose of the change in the first place.[ post edited by Caydiem ]
