	This is caused by a large number of players all attempting to use the authentication service at once (in laymen's terms, lots of people logging in). It is reasonably likely that the holiday is part of the cause; however, we have addressed the overarching issues in this post: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?fn=wow-general&t=6635412&p=1&tmp=1#post6635412 I would ask that you keep discussions regarding authentication or other login issues either to this thread, or to the abovementioned sticky.
