Before patch 1.9, I use to farm whatever while doing LFG for instances because I usually did /join LookingForGroup - IronForge. Since patch 1.9, I haven't been able to do /join LookingForGroup - City or join any other channel outside of my area.
Is this a bug? Or is it intended? If it is intended, it's kinda annoying and why is the join new channel button still there?

FYI -- after some discussion and communication of player feedback, this fix is going to be undone, and city LFG channels will be able to be joined from around the world once more.
