I have noticed this on a few different realms...but lately the server Bonechewer (not just that one but others too) have had some issues with logging in. The "Retrieving Character List" takes quite a bit of time.
You could say that it is just my computer internet connection, but I have tried from multiple computers in different areas of the city I live in. I was just wondering if you knew of the situation at all. Again this is not complaint, I don't mind waiting because I have things that I can do while I wait...but some people I know are having a hard time with this and people are getting angry all across the server.
I just wanted to know if you knew about this issue and if it is going to be worked on at all.
I really hope you see this because maybe you could slip a note to the Server Maintenance Team to pay extra heed to Bonechewer and any other server that has problems with the "Retrieving Character List".
Thank you for your time, Cay...well, if you can find this thread before it's lost in the masses.

We're definitely aware of the situation on the many realms affected, and have been. We're doing what we can, but unfortunately, there's no immediate fix.

Q u o t e: so how about the queues?
That is part and parcel of the issue, and again, something we're not ignoring. As I have nothing explicit to say yet, however, it's difficult for me to say more than "We're working on it, but I have nothing for you yet."

Tehrrana, we can't do that. For starters, if we did, about half our development team would be doing absolutely nothing; they'd have no bugs to fix, nothing to contribute on the front of helping said situation, and so would be idle. I know it's easy to say that all new content should cease, but honestly, the server issues are separate from the new content added and are an entirely different subset of people here at Blizzard.
And while you may not complain about a lack of content, I assure you that many, many other people would, and would be right to do so.
