Subject: Caydiem, how is ZG a "stepping stone"...
...when many would agree that it's more challenging than Molten Core (with the exception of the Hakkar fight)?

Q u o t e:

Patch 1.7: Zul'Gurub (raid content, but not nearly as "hardcore" as Blackwing Lair; targetted as a challenge for the more casual 60 and as a stepping stone from UBRS to MC)

Was it simply that the devs didn't playtest ZG enough, or what? I for one feel like ZG is a more challenging (with less rewards) instance than MC.
Throwing +5? Awesome!!!

It's a challenge, yes, as I mentioned. It's a "stepping stone" in the number of people needed, and the idea that there are some difficult fights in higher-end raid dungeons that require such specific strategies.

And the bosses within do have varying difficulties overall, as well. For example, you may not be able to kill Jin'do, but you might be able to handle Venoxis and Bloodlord Mandokir.

Sadris, it's not "wrong", because you need 20 more people in order to accomplish that feat.

Remember, too, that Molten Core used to be only for the "hardest of the hardcore". Killing Ragnaros? That was a feat! So many guilds worked slowly through Molten Core, struggling with the bosses.

Zul'Gurub is challenging, but it's made moreso because it's newer. The strategies are only barely starting to become well-known.

and coming up with 20 more monkeys is hard because....?

Not everyone has access to enough people, such as the guild in which I hit ZG. We can field 20 if we schedule it in advance; we don't even have 40 people who are level 60 in the guild.

Clearly it isn't a problem for you, however, so kudos.
