This whole war effort is a bad idea.
Level 60's trying to get their war effort stuff in are plaguing the newbie lands, killing everything in sight for materials.
The economy is totally upside down right now. 20 linen went for 15-20 silver now goes for 2-3 gold. Thorium bars are up almost 1g-2g a piece now. This goes for leather and other materials needed by the so-called "war effot".
Craftsmen who buy and sell items off AH are just screwed until this war effort is over. Not everyone goes out and harvests material.
This game is turning out to be more and more for the 60's and less for the casual or new gamer. This is exactly what happend with Everquest I and II. Cater to the fanbois and screw the casual gamer.
It's time to do exactly what the 60's are doing, go out and start harvesting in newbie lands and sell the items for rediculous prices. Screw the economy, screw the new players.
Thanks Blizzard.

The time to wage war against the silithid infestation and their shadowy masters, the Qiraji has come, Tolstoy. During this time of struggle, the efforts of war will have an affect on the economy, it's unavoidable during times of epic tribulation.
It's up to each individual to take advantage of the change to economy. Those not willing to adapt may indeed find themselves hungry and cold sitting outside their local inn, praying for the pity of another. However, those capable of identifying the shifts to production and gathering value will likely find their money doubled, or tripled over time.
Worry not, the war can't last forever...[ post edited by Eyonix ]

Q u o t e: AGAIN
The war effort only benefits raiders.
I see absolutely no reason to help raiders enter their dungeon any sooner.
Ordinn turned in a few stacks of Arthas Tear and made over 60 gold from the items he received, in addition to the reputation he gained with the city. Caydiem turned in Runecloth bandages, making over 100 gold after selling what she received from her donations.
I wouldn't consider either of them "raiders", and yet they both benefited greatly. They plan to continue with the war efforts, and it's doubtful their intention is anything but selfish.
Everyone can take advantage of this event, not just those planning on waging war against the Qiraji.
